Budget hearings got underway under the Gold Dome this morning. Georgia Legislative Watch reports that an amended budget will be released by the close of business today. Governor Sonny Perdue also released an $18 billion budget for fiscal year 2011.
Texting while driving could soon become illegal in the Peach State. The Associated Press reports that two lawmakers are considering a ban on the dangerous practice. Proposed sanctions include fines and driver's license penalties. If passed, Georgia would become the 20th state to ban texting while driving...
