Falcons, City of Atlanta reach deal on new stadium

The Atlanta Falcons are one step closer to getting a new stadium.

The Falcons and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed reached a deal on Thursday that paves the way for construction of a $1 billion facility that will be built next to the Georgia Dome.  The agreement must still get final approval from the Atlanta City Council.
