City council OK Falcons stadium, bond issue put on hold

The Atlanta Falcons bid to build a new stadium cleared one last hurdle Monday night.

The Atlanta City Council voted 11-4 to approve the construction of the $1 billion facility, with at least $200 million worth of bonds financed with public money.
