Darton College is set to open its first-ever on-campus apartment complex Sunday. The Albany Herald has the story here.

Georgia Southwestern State University has reached a new enrollment milestone. The Americus-based institution has 3,033 students for fall semester 2009. That's an increase of more than 300 students from last year. It's the first time GSW has enrolled more than 3,000 students during any one semester.

Top honors for Georgia's largest public university. The University of Georgia finished in the top 25 among universities in that category. That's according to U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges. The 2010 edition of those rankings will be available in both print and online early next week.
